What Is Insomnia
Insomnia is the inability to fall asleep or stay asleep throughout the night. You may find yourself waking up frequently and find it difficult go back to sleep. Dealing with problems like lack of energy, drowsiness, irritability, and difficulty concentrating are just a few of the problems you may face on a routine basis.
Most people have experienced a form of this condition or drowsiness upon reaching adulthood. In fact, between 30-50% of the general population are affected, and 10% suffer from chronic insomnia. You should also note that it does affect all age groups and not just adults.
What Are The Different Forms?
Like any other medical condition, this comes with its fair subcategories too. The three main types of insomnia each have different symptoms and should each be viewed as one of its own kind. With that being said, treatment should be taken differently for each particular type.
What Cures Are Available?
Cures for this sleep disorder come in many forms and fashions. First of all, you need to know which particular type you have before even attempting to cure it yourself. If you think you have the chronic form, it's probably best to see a doctor and let them diagnose your condition as native cures may not work. Your cures are mainly limited to two main options which are prescription medications or natural remedies for insomnia.
Prescription medications are never really recommended by anyone including your doctor because people tend to get addicted to them and they eventually start to slowly stop working altogether. Natural solutions are an entirely different story as most of them are inexpensive and are non-addictive. In most cases, people take these for a month and never have to worry about losing sleep again.
